And so we went to walk and talk,
and talk and walk,
down by the quiet pond.
It was wet, and it was bright—
so bright,
we lit the fleeting autumn, right—
and then we let it fall apart.

The exceptionally light tones pierce the canvas, their intensity reflecting the quicksilver nature of light glancing off a quiet pond.
